#Stop Aged Neglect.
It was observed that most children have moved to urban area, outside the country in pursuit of greener pasture, which has thereby expose their Aged parents to neglects and abuse of the Care and love they deserved at old age.
Then, changing family value system in our society, which makes their sons and daughters with their children to not give them chance in their family/homes, make them feel unloved at that phase of their lives. They are being left alone, makes them to face depressions, loneliness, fighting isolation, neglects, and health problems.
Their physical strength decline, poor financial disorders and general abandonments by the society, Lack of affordable health care, makes JAO-Foundation to extend welfare program to the Aged citizens.
#Provide for a widow.
Our investigation shows that when the bottom drops out of your world with the loss of a spouse, it’s not easy to pick up the pieces. As the days pass after the death, there will be so much to do, and so many challenges to face alone. The team of two is now gone, and the widow is challenged by every day. Death offers opportunities to find out who you really are, this is a time when women show amazing strength that they never knew possible, the mountains of things to do can easily be overcome with a little raise, so we seek the medium to introduced the widows and their girl child into skill acquisition programs and empowerment as the widow will have to deal with the finances of running the home while the girl child develop a creative mind and make a living.
#Educating 1 girl-child with 1 book, gives her power!!
Without education, girls are likely to become victims of domestic or sexual abuse or prostituting which is the part of the condition that leads to terrorism, more likely to contacts HIV/AIDS, more likely to marry young, have children early and spend their life in poverty, thereby adding to the ongoing stress of her widow mother.
Education is most effective ways of ending the above mentioned most especially Poverty.
It’s often said that “if we educate a boy we educate one person and if we educate a girl-child we educate the whole nation”
Offering girl child basic education is one sure way of giving them much greater power of enabling them to make genuine choices over the kind of lives they wish to live, see potential and need to promote education in other, molding their mindsets/character towards aspiring for success in life, improve their own lives and of their families by influencing their future, most importantly helping to break the cycle of poverty.
